Ray Morocco

Poet

I am an unquenchable woman

At our first edition of I Am A Woman, Ray enchanted us with her poetry piece titled Ode to the Unquenchable Woman. Through her words, Ray celebrated herself and women as multi-faceted beings through poetry.

“For the majority of my life I've been told I ‘talk too much’ and I've always been under the impression that it was a bad thing. Now I realize that my words are my power source- They are my innermost paramount and ponderous feelings that come through from my heart, to my pen, to you. And that, my loves, is not bad at all.”

Get to know Ray!

Ray is far removed from labels but she falls somewhere along the lines of wordsmith, lyricist and writer, but mainly, Poet.

She was raised in a vibrant Italian world full of loud voices and expression and has spent many years with her bare feet to Earth learning to quiet that exterior voice and find her interior dialogue.

Poetry is Ray’s spiritual practice. Channeling her words from something greater than herself. She is a published author of a small poetry book, holds online writing workshops to help inspire healing and alignment in woman, has performed internationally for many events; from music festivals to fundraisers for female genital mutilation in Africa, and she has even collaborated with major DJ’s having her words heard by many music loving ears in Ibiza, Miami, Toronto, Mexico and more.

Ray believes we all possess the power to be change-makers of Self by harnessing that authentic inner voice and expressing it without shame into whatever form of art we please.
